I AM BLESSED TO WORK WITH A GREAT MENTOR AND FRIEND!

Wow, what a day!  

My day in the office has lots of fun, full of exciting feelings, in short a conducive environment that can help make things happen.  My second spell to the Academy started early in September 2022 as the only Communications Officer.  Ooh yes, I couldn't help, but to rejoin the institution I left due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

The ambiance with passionate students who aspire to lead the film industry in Uganda, and why not worldwide, one really wants to be part and parcel of that time that guide mainly young people to their destiny.  As the mantra of the Academy goes: "Where Dreams Come True", it is exciting to witness how the students' talents in the areas of video, television, radio, film, photography are being unlocked by professional and seasoned tutors.  It is, indeed, passionate to witness that!

Having said that, I was really thrilled as I was enjoying my work with Daniel M. Meboya on Monday, 10 October 2022 after work, we came across a former workmate of Daniel.  

Daniel is a Corporate Communications Consultant at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Mali. He previously served in the same role at World Vision (South Sudan), The Nile Basin Initiative (Uganda), The Great Lakes Parliamentary Forum on Peace (Kenya), United Nations Development Programme (DRC), Save the Children (Angola and DR Congo) and United States Information Agency (Washington DC)

They had worked together at the Nile Basin Initiative in Entebbe for over four years.  Charles Mwine couldn't believe when Daniel called him as he was on the other side of the Hanlon Road at Nsambya in the Makindye Division.  Charles was really surprised to reunite with Daniel after more than eight years since they parted ways.  He was even crossing the road without really paying attention to cars and had only his focus on Daniel who was on the other side of the road.

Hmm... what a friendly and brotherly hug! I could sense the feeling of people who really got to get together well and ready to share again their feelings after partying ways for that long!  I was humbled to meet and listen to a great friend of my Mentor Daniel Meboya Massaba. Charles in his words quotes:

 "When you have this 'guy' you will never die!"

Working under his guidance, advice and direction have built my passion as a Communication Officer .
